About John

I am a Pomona native and lived in the area throughout my early, pre-college, education. I have since become Pasadena resident and have lived in Old-town for 3 years. I have been a Pasadena City College student for 2 years in total and am nearing the point where I will be ready to transfer to a Cal State University or a private University. I am pursuing a Bachelors degree of Science in Nursing and aim to obtain a Master’s degree in Nursing in the years to come. I currently work as an EMT in East Los Angeles, where I have 5 years of 911 experience. After working as a first-responder for some time, I have established a firm desire to pursue a career in the medical field. I find satisfaction in helping others in need and have gained a palpable amount of gratification throughout my existing medical experience. Throughout my young adulthood I have developed sound morals and a work ethic to be proud of. My experience in the field has taught me to adapt to intense, unexpected situations and has strengthened my leadership skills as well as my drive to perform on a high level. I believe that these are good qualities to possess and can be applied to every aspect of my life. My experience as a student at Pasadena City College has been beneficial to my educational path as well as my character. I find pleasure in expanding and solidifying my knowledge in every subject and will continue to do so until I reach my goal and obtain a Master degree of Science in Nursing.
